Regina Relang was an important German fashion photographer. Regina Relang taught herself photography. She began publishing her travel reportages in 1936. Her fashion photographs appeared in magazines such as French, English, and American Vogue, Madame, Bild der Frau, and Harper‘s Bazaar. After the Second World War, Relang moved to Munich. Twice a year, she produced photo reports on the fashion collection presentations in Florence, Rome, Paris, and Berlin. She photographed for designers such as Christian Dior, Pierre Cardin, and Yves Saint Laurent. In the 1950s and 60s, Regina Relang was Germany‘s leading fashion photographer: in 1958, eight of the twelve covers of Madame magazine featured a Relang photograph. From 1976 to 1988, she held exhibitions throughout the Federal Republic of Germany.
