Margit Hermann was born in Klausenburg (now Cluj-Napoca, Romania) in 1891. Very few details about her life and artistic work can be found in standard sources. She worked as an artist in an environment of artistic modernism, and her work can be classified chronologically and stylistically as early to mid-20th century.
